Barry M. Rogers
Barry was born in Dublin, Ireland in 1962 and attended Trinity College Dublin where he attained a degree in Business Studies in 1984. Following an internship with Peat Marwick Michell (Dublin) and Morgan Stanley (New York), he joined Nomura Securities in 1985 as a trader of US Government debt in Tokyo, New York and London moving to a similar role at JP Morgan (JPM) in 1997. In 1990, he joined the derivatives group at JPM and became the Head of client structuring and marketing for Northern Europe. He took a 6-month sabbatical in 1998 to spend an extended period with his family and to write a screenplay on a neglected aspect of Irish History. He returned to JP Morgan in June 1998 as the first Talent Manager for Europe while simultaneously studying for an MSc in Organizational and Social Psychology at the London School of Economics. Barry founded liberare in April 2000. He is married with three children and has a keen interest in contemporary music, history and politics.
Lynn Shepherd
Lynn was born in London in 1964 and has a degree in English Language and Literature from Lincoln College, Oxford as well as a Masters degree in Literature. She started her career in financial services with Hill Samuel and the treasury department of Guinness PLC. Between 1995 and 1997, she was consecutively the Community Affairs, Public Affairs and Investor Relations Manager for Guinness before becoming the first Director of Communications for Diageo after the merger of Guinness and Grand Metropolitan in January 1997. In this role she created and managed the group's external and internal communications strategy. In December 1999, Lynn became the Corporate Communications Director of Yahoo! Europe where she launched a new communications strategy for the business. She joined liberare as a founding partner in May 2000. Lynn is a Member of the Institute of Public Relations, the Marketing Society and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. She is married and apart from a fascination with literature and travel is currently writing a novel for publication in late 2001.
Jerry Brown
Jerry was born in London in 1965 and obtained a Masters Degree in German and European History from Edinburgh University in 1988. After university he joined Andersen Consulting, where he developed organization change methods and designed an education strategy for a government agency. In 1991 he joined the executive management team at Druid Systems Ltd taking the company through an MBO in 1993 and stock market (LSE) listing in 1996 as Druid Group PLC. As global Head of Service Delivery, Jerry was responsible for the quality of service delivered to Druid’s worldwide client base and providing Programme Direction and Project Assurance for multinational business and IT transformation programmes. In September 1999 he began a sabbatical year studying for an MSc in Organizational Psychology at the London School of Economics, graduated in September 2000 and joined liberare at the same time. He is a specialist in the areas of major organizational change programmes, impact of technology on organizations and organizational psychology. He also speaks excellent French and German and has a passion for attending sporting events around the world.
